Actually it was out of the car so i m guessing no, some diesel was left in the fuel filter housing though. So pump timing must be adjusted?
Are the revs "hunting" in a really pronounced manner? If so, then I have the same problem. I have been advised to change the fuel filter which I haven't been able to do yet but even so I don't know how doing so would stop the smoke issue.
