You say chirping noise, that's generally more related to a worn pulley, tensioner or power steering pump bearing. Worn aux belts usually make a continuous squealing noise when you first start the car in the morning, or after driving through a big puddle for example. I would say it's worth rotating all the pulleys and tensioners by hand while the belt is off to make sure all of them rotate freely and there's no feeling of stiction/graunching in the bearings.
