Intermittent Braking Force...

Pull the ABS fuse and try your brakes, see if the sensation goes. You'll find that it is likely to be a hairline crack in an ABS ring, or potentially a dying sensor. I would believe the former as i've had the same issue before.

My brothers HDI had the shrunk on rings, not the notched shaft. One of his rings cracked through and split and his ABS went bananas.
