Geeks ahoy! PS3 issues.....anyone help?
#1
Copied from the PSN forums:

Quote:Ive been having an issue with my controllers for a while, which sometimes seems to rectify itself, then comes back intermittentley (worst spelling ever i think).

I have both a Dualshock3 and a standard controller, and neither of them will sync to my console without me plugging them into the usb lead, pressing the PS button, then turning the console off, and then back on again with the controller still plugged into the lead. Only then can i unplug the lead and it will sync wirelessly. If i remove the lead before switching the console off then on again, the lights just flash a few times, then stop.

I recently got the console back online (long story), and after a system update, the problem seemed to fix itself for a day or two, but now they wont even sync after plugging in, switching off then on again.

Ive tried resetting the controllers, resetting the console by holding the power button for 10 secs, im at my wits end now, can anyone offer any other solutions?

Wondering if this could be a problem with the bluetooth receiver in the console itself, as im having exactly the same problem with both my controllers, so i dont think the controllers are at fault.

Any thoughts guys? I know this is a car forum, but i know there are some electrical/computer boffs on here, so hoping someone might have some idea. Huh

And i dont want any "get an xbox instead" replies please, ps3 is mostly an entertainment unit now, i use my PC most for gaming. Tongue
