Locking the brakes as already said is pointless, as you arnt gunna stop fast in any circumstances doing that, optimum braking I would assume (im no expert here at all) would be to hold the brakes right on the edge of it loosing grip, IE max loading the brakes....its at this point that your working them the hardest, and there producing the most raping ammounts of heat, its at this point I used to melt my '6 brakes, but like I said , they MUST have been on pants pads, because it was far to easy to do this....Ive never drove a decent '6 brakes setup before, so cant comment on how they hold up under chronic braking loads....but at a guess id say they would be pretty fine given most people run them....
