can you not take a normal 3.5mm jack feed straight to an amp and then put it out to like 4 speakers and a sub? I always thought that the fabrication of some kind of dock would be the hardest. Blatantly has to be android to then use that App where you can read the cars OBD port!

Yes but 9/10 the jack port is for headphones. Which for done reason when you plug them into a stand alone sound system the quality drops majorly. Like plugging your phone into the aux port on your stereo.
