I used UFI parts supplied by Opie oils on my last service, and would always look for better grades of oil over the standard pug recommended crap. 5w40 Gulf Competition Ester-synthetic fully-synth yOh!
The oil filter I've had kicking about spare since buying my oil cooler kit is a Mann one, so I'll be using that on the next service.
FWIW Fooby's also copied me now, so I have another 5l of that sitting beside my desk now as it all arrived today, with my spark plugs
Tbh tech has come on since these cars were manufactured. There is an argument for "pug did a lot of research on the oil they used in their cars so its a risk using different" but I'm pretty sure Pug recommended oils wont last very long at 120Degrees+....
