No you will not need compressers they will just winde up and down as they are. And i would start some whete in the middle then adjust up or down from there rather than at the top. But you should take them apart and wire brush them 1st 1st. And just use stilsons if your 2 tight to spend an extra £4 but you will wrech the spring seats by doing it like that. Especialy if they are tight
Not tight to spend £4 just carnt find a c spanner for less than £10 and im not spending that much.... Any one find me the link for a cheap c spanner????
