Stuff like BTCC cars use this sort of set-up i Believe (could be wrong though; I've done my best in the past to pause the tv when you get a glimpse of the engines, but not 100% sure!)
It won't make it sound more epic once you attach a turbo onto the end of the plenum though......bye bye induction noise!
