You went too damn slow though, what did you expect? your supposed to go fast enough to push a bow wave which keeps the water out of the engine bay a bit and also use a low gear and fairly high revs to keep the water out of the exhaust and also to give it the power needed to push its way through the water............do they teach you southerners nothing
