Keep the (or get one, I forget if you still have it) NAD to get about the place, possibly to get you to a job of sorts, and then have a car, kept off the road so you needn't worry about insurance and stuff, to work on, and make something special. Will be cheap, as you buy something that NEEDS work, and can add to it as and when money allows, and will give you plenty to do?

The blue golf was a project car........insurarance won't allow all the mods I made to it. That's the last time I buy a car as a project.
