Driving in an enthusiastic way caused my car to spark from the exhaust. Guessing that this is a bad thing haha?

Yeahh could see them floating around in my rear mirror :/ Maybe it's to do with the fact I have the 125hp stage 1 but still ain't got round to doing a decat?

Its not that mate, will be another reason, mine hasn't been decatted and is also around 125bhp and has never done that.

It's just soot build up, usually in the cat hence the sparks when it burns out. I've seen it on decatted cars though.

You need to drive it hard more often!! I've had it once that I know of, bought the car off an old lady that didn't drive it properly.

Shot flames out my xud once, brother in law was following and told me, pulled up and backbox was on fire on the tip, threw some water on it then took it on a 3rd gear rag to burn it all off, didn't do it again lol

Had this on a few XUD's after some 'spirited' driving - none of them had cats, but were probably grannied around for some time before I got in.
Looks interesting to say the least at night

I'd check the earth straps on your exhaust. Usually the original ones have long broken up. Worth having it earthed properly if sparks are being created.

Think it's only the '6s that had earth straps.
Its not actually 'sparks' anyway, just burning coal embers lol.
