China hides it quite well to be fair.

I learned my lesson, get an oil-burning derv bus and get it in grey, so you can't see all that muck!
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

I remember the days of my black 6, just gave up cleaning it in the end lol Shows up every scatch/chip aswell! Black looks awesome when its polished up though. Silvers the worse, just looks the same no matter what you do with it. Such bloody boring colour!

They're just as dirty down here tbh, lots of farm traffic about lately dumping mud and shit everywhere.

The day we went to the scrappy in the nad it was like a bloody rally stage round yours though!! lmao

Mate that was nothing the previous time i went i had to circumnavigate a flood outside my house and then go through a 100m long flood which was about a foot and a half deep in places! Like i know i like to modify my car but im not going to make it into a boat!

Moonstone FTW in that respect, you don't have to have cleaned it for 6 weeks and it'll still look reasonable...

my old diablo looked better in the dark than it did during the day, as the paint was shocking and it hid the rotten roof too.
so after that experince iam not really a fan of red cars, id love to get the rover repainted sliver, but its a f*ck on and a half!

This is why I turned down a black Octavia and went for a silver one, you can't really tell when it's mucky, although the wheels get dirty after putting your foot on the brakes 4-5 times. Never known a car create so much brake dust...

Must be a VAG thing, the golfs do it too...may have something to do with me using traction control a lot though. lol
Thanks given by:
#24
What's traction control got to do with the brakes? Doesn't it just cut power? Its far to keen on these cars anyway, I just turn it off because it cuts power on the Octavia every time I try to pull out of a junction lol
[Image: tapatalk_1427020983519_zpsnwvozlhb.jpeg]

Cuts power and applies the brakes using the ABS modulator.....

I leave it on as I like being a chav at traffic lights.

Surely you should have it off for some tyre smoke then?

If i turned it off I'd just spin on the spot.....I like a little screech then grrrrrrrr all the way to erm...30. ninja lol

You could try a little thing called clutch control? Plus, I can get the power down easily in mine even though it stays on peak power far longer and is quite a bit quicker... Wink
[Image: tapatalk_1427020983519_zpsnwvozlhb.jpeg]

Quite a bit quicker? 1.8t is only 180bhp isn't it? And the octy's a heavy car.....
Thanks given by:
#30
Yep, but mine pulls hard from 1800 revs to 7000 revs, I'm still in second gear at 70 so I don't lose ground changing gear Wink

Like I say, quite a bit quicker. And yes, I have driven a remapped PD130...
