Hey fellas, seriously contemplating swapping out the D2's for another brand of coilover. My problem is that, while they ride fine (having been on a friend's GTI6) they just aren't great for major lows. They're completely bottomed out at about 60-70mm so with camber and stretched tyres there's too much arch gap for my liking.
If I were to exchange these with someone, I would be keeping the adjustable top mounts. I would be happy to do a swap though for someone else's coilover bodies minus their top mounts.
These have adjustable dampening and spring rate appears to be roughly 350lb so on the stiffer side. Unfortunately I never got C-spanners with them and have been adjusting the collars using water pump pliers. The damper bodies wind down in the lower sleeve to adjust height and keep the same damper travel. Overall they're in good nick, having never been actually driven on the estate and only covered about 6k miles that i'm aware of.
Anyone interested?

Matt, maybe not a straight swap... do you have any travel left on them btw? I'd be ok with the current ride height if there was some travel left on these
Jackabeen, they fit all 306's. You would just need top mounts for them.

You would be able to use your current top mounts. I'm not looking to sell though, wanting a swap as I don't want the hassle of sourcing more coilovers.

Chris, the top mounts might not be interchangeable with standard one, so its worth checking that before swapping/selling.

This ^ if there adjustable then they probably have different spring tops on them to allow them to adjust properly.
You would have to replace the spring tops depending on what top mounts they use.

Just lower the spring rate with some springs from Rally design and you should get your "lowz"

Its not the springs, there sat on the bumpstops so pysicaly won't go lower.

Mark that doesn't really look any lower than mine. It's weird, because the ride height has changed so much it feels as though it's not very low, trying to compare pics to my old sigma when it was down 60mm (Was Gmax springs so probably more like 70mm)
Really hard to gauge the lows, i'm thinking not much but am I just being greedy?

There is still about an inch maybe to the bump stops as I still have the helpers in and wouldn't want it any lower or I wouldn't be able to drive it anywhere round here
I have a pic somewhere parked behind a standard 306.....................I will find it...............
Edit..............gave up
