I want to make my 306 look like more of a "track slag" and someone on here gave me the idea of steelies. Has anyone got any pics of 306's with steelies on, and also does anyone know what ones are the best to get etc???
Any help appreciated!!
Thanks.

siad (i think thats his name) is running steelies and his looks most lush. i wouldnt want to pay more than £10 per rim (gigidy) and imo always look better in white.

406 steelies are 15" so are the best choice IMO if that is what you want to do, the member "seid" from portugal has white steelies on his as Kingy says, his project thread is here if you want to have a look - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1686
IMO white is all well and good but a nightmare to keep clean, personally I think that they look OK as a second set of wheels for over winter but that could just be my taste

If you going for a track slag go for some 15" C5 steel look wheels as they are made of alloy and way f*ck all.
Or go for some 16" steelies which look awesome

Or go for some 16" steelies which look awesome That's what I was going to suggest. There are two types, one is a magnesium alloy and the other is another alloy which isn't quite as light I believe. Will try to find out how to tell which is the magnesium one.

Ok i will look into 406 steelies, as they look mad on seid's car!! They will definatly be white, and i will keep them on probably till the end of this year, and save for some nice alloys then keep the steelies as winter wheels after that. I like the idea of the C5 wheels to but i would expect them to be more expensive as 406 ones.
Thanks for the help so far people Let me know if anyone heard of any cheap steelies in southampton area

Go for it. Just bear in mind 16 inch tyres can be more expensive, but they are the perfect size for a 306 imo.

Seid doesn't have 406 ones iirc. The 406 ones have triangular holes instead of circular
15" 406 steel
And on my car

I have xsara 15" wheels, but if you buy, buy of citroen c5 mk1, the weight are awesome less than a rallye 14" :O steelies in 15" are rare in Portugal, is that why i have to buy the xsara :/
Good luck

The 16" steels are epic
Apparently the C5 ones are 4.7kg each. For reference a cyclone is 8kg and a laser is 10.2kg

Well my mate has just offered to swap my wheels for his recently re furbed gun-metal grey cyclones with all good rubber, as he has just fitted Bremob's to his GTI-6 so he needs spacers or something and looking for another set of cyclones to re-furb. This mine will look alot better with grey cyclones on it for now.
