So it's that time again, the MOT is due - just dropped the car off to my uncle (then he has a check over on his lift and takes it to an MOT station)
also gave him a quick explanantion about needing to give it some beans as it's running near to no fuel with limited throttle travel and reduced boost - still running 8-10psi, NO smoke whatsoever!
Pass or Fail on what?!?!

Not being funny, why did you put it in before the replacement hoses if you were expecting it to fail?

but technically, by the time i pick it up tomorow, it would have NO mot on it, thus making it illegal, as im not going TO a garage to get it done...
ANYWHO...
spellowe, do you know if the brake hoses are generic across dturbo/gti calipers??

Seems like a waste of money? Rich coming from the guy who can't hold onto a car for more than 30 seconds because of something really trivial, only to go and buy another shit car!

Well I wouldn't want to keep one for a year....I'd have to MOT it then :o
I see what you mean ginge, but you still have no mot, so might aswell have just not driven it tonight and waited for the hoses....unless of course you do get a free retest as above, then obviously its not a waste of money lol.
