what is the differance between Ph1 and 2 ?
i have a ph2 loom here as ive changed mine to a Ph3 loom https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ GTI6 Info Don’t drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.

The phase 1 has oil level and oil pressure on the clocks
The phase 2 has level and temp iirc The car is currently running a 1998 phase 2 loom so the loom works but the clocks don't. 
that's the clocks that vary not the engine loom, the plugs are all there for them still, so probably not connected to anything.
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

I was told the engine looms differ so would need the correct engine loom to suit? Only thing that works is the speedo think the fuel gauge will work when I change the sender in the tank as when I removed to check it was in bits

Phase 1 use a 2 pin Diag port by the ECU not the ODB in the car, Other than the oil pressure swapped to oil temp on later car's the looms the same, Not sure on plug pin out's as I've never needed to check those
