What are the straps in a rallye?
#1
Hi Guys,

In the back of the rallye there are two clips which are rivetted to the rear boot wall. Mine doesn't have anything in them and i thought someone had added them but further research shows they are factory fitted but no indication of what they are for. Does anyone know?

My rallye didnt have a jack holder although I have now added one. Was this a holder for a tool bag and jack etc?

Sam

Nah, Sams still has the OE changer!

These are material straps with plastic clips on the rear cross bar (just in front of rear bumper bolts). Seem to be in all Rallyes.

yeh its on the rear of the boot. Not on the passenger side arch. I have the changer there. This is literally some fabric straps with two clips. I was thinking fire extinguisher too. Are there any details in the rallye leaflet that came with the car, if anyone has one?

My d-turbo also have the 2 straps riveted to the boot wall. I use it to hold my warning triangle(was like that when I bought it).

Mine aren't like that. Got a ph1 1.9DT.
I have leather straps with buttons on them Smile But yes, they are for the triangle.
