Hmm. At £150 new it might be worth buying a Y-piece and a tailpipe of your choice for £20 and welding them on the end? Colossal PITA though.

I also dislike twin tail-pipes on small-displacement cars.

exhaust- get one made to suit, id personally say a pugsport wont be upto the job, somewhere around 2 1/4-1/2 but its more about flow than diameter. Exhaust uk do some reasonable boxes thats what i used on mine.

With decent parts and workmanship with no mates rates you'd struggle to get a good exhaust for £150 surely?

Tbh you'd struggle to get decent parts for that, let alone the rest. I feel like i've missed half the conversation with this exhaust, where has the £150 for an exhaust come from?

With regards too the exhaust problem, a Pugsport is no good at all that much is definite.
Ideally needs a 2.25" downpipe back system but the downpipe I have is only 2" so perhaps a new downpipe is required if space allows.

After taking the sump off and inspecting the internals I have decided to fork out for some new wossner forged H beam rods as the current setup is using machined & shot peened standard rods which aren't quite too my liking.

Luckily it's in the hands of Russ Tyler now of Tyler Race Engines round the corner from my unit so the crank will be heat treated aswell as refitted using ACL race bearing shells and ARP studs.

Was more thinking of defeating a few on track to establish a status but it will need to be mapped & dyno'd at some point
