1.8 I've never owned for some reason (insurance vs xud) had an xsi for a few months but went back to derv!
May yet roll the dice on a 1.8 just to see what they're like while there's still a few around!

Bet one of your mates down there would cook up a right special 306 monster with whichever configuration you fancy for your 5 grand and almost guaranteed you'll never actually hate it when it goes tits up ;-)
Wouldn't mind handing my kids a proper beastly 306 play toy 10 years from now but in the mean time 2stroke love!

Yup love the bakers dozen, you must love em as much as me FFS

Around about the half dozen - a dozen mark I burned them up and binned them like loo roll but a few more down the line I'm actually beginning to worry a wee bit that in 5 or 10 years there will be no more affordable 306's left other than the odd straggler meridian ph3 lol and the obvs collectible rallyes and mostly tuned GTI's but whats left will be out of reach of most new buyers!
Been around long enough to see all the 309's and 205's disappear and become real expensive for a goodun so if you have a gen low mile goodun save it up cos it ain't coming your way again anytime soon!

Favourite is a difficult question!! The china 1.4 was epic at the time. 1st china 1.8 was the most reliable one I owned. GTi6 was obviously the most 'fun'. Either of the estates were excellent load-luggers. Cars are needed for different things, I don't see how anyone keeps a single car for like 10 years when so much changes in that time.

I've also had a 206 HDi GLX and 2 106 1.5D Zest 2 in the PSA line. Plus quite a few other marques now also.

Don't like them tbh lol. I'm not a huge fan of the retro styling on 306s and I prefer the toys and HDi engines of the ph3. That's not to say I wouldn't buy a Cossack S16 if I saw one cheap and local. I did even look out for a ph1 XUD as a stop gap instead of the Volvo, weren't any around though lol.

I have a want for a ph1 black dturbo! Had a few and love em, Had a couple of sigma dturboS's loved them too

I currently own two 306s, a freebie 1.4 which has been a very cheap and reliable albeit slow car, and the HDi.

A good few years ago, my ex had an S16. I quite liked that car, and could be tempted by another.

Owned and killed a few 205 GTis though!
