gear cooler
#1
question please

i have a 306 1995 model automatic with no heat in the car

at first i thought perhaps its the thermostat cause the engine takes forever to reach 80-90 degrees.

im thinking about flushing or replacing the heater core (matrix) but wanted to check here first.

is there a "gear cooler" on this car that cools down thru the cars radiater? im told that a clogged gear cooler can cause the matrix not to heat up.

is the gear cooler inside the gear itself or is it located next to the gear itself?

By gear cooler. I'm assuming that you mean gearbox oil cooler In the rad. At which point it will have no effect at all on the heating up businesses. Has the vehicle been bled up properly. Do you get heat while ticking it over for a while letting the heat rise? Are the pipes hot in and out of the matrix. We need a little more info tbh
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger

Yes they have a heat exchange unit, but if blocked the water will just bypass it
