1997 Phase 1 GTi-6 Sigma
Mileage: 84,681
MOT: March 29th 2015
I've had the car since February 13th 2014 and it has been absolutely spot on through my ownership.
I have been doing a lot more mileage lately and would like a more economical car, hence the regrettable sale. I would ideally like to do a straight swap for a diesel, preferably a HDi.
The last cambelt change was around 69,000 miles, I believe. I serviced the car mid July.
The bodywork is in generally good condition, it does show it's age in a few places, particularly on the bonnet. Once it's had a good clean and polish, it really does look fantastic.
The interior is in a good state, the only issue is a hole in the drivers seat.
The car itself is absolutely stock, apart from a McGill Motorsport steering wheel. I have got a decat, strut braces and a few other parts that I can negotiate as part of the sale if anyone is interested.
It has got some 17" lightweight wheels fitted, similar to Oz Superleggera's. Parada Spec 2's all round, which plenty of tread. Depending on what car I end up with, I could keep the wheels, so it may come with cyclones fitted instead.
A few of the bad aspects are; exhaust rattle, brakes are juddery, leaks in the rain and some some of the dial lights are not working. Also, the fuel gauge does not work properly once you get to below a 1/4. All the issues are livable with, but could be easily sorted.
I would value the car at £900, however I would prefer a straight swap for HDi.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Apologies for the lengthy absence, hopefully a deal can be sorted
