Hi guys, just noticed this eve that my hdi estate has a weird rotationl 'whirring vibration' noise from the n/s/f... Thought the gearbox was on its way out but im sure its not that.
It gets louder as the speed increases and when i turn left it goes away but its still there when I turn right and only happens when the car is moving, it doesn't go away when i press the clutch either.
Suggestions?..... And no just 'keep turning left' haha

Wheel bearings?
Man the car up and see if there is any play in the wheel.

Could be a good punt... Had a look tonight and nothing was rubbing and short of the drive shaft being fudged you could be right..... I hate doing bearings haha.

Yup, I'd say wheel bearing if it changes with speed and changes as you turn one way and not the other.
Won't necessarily have any play in either or even feel rough to rotate with the wheel fitted either.
Check the brake isn't binding slightly on that side too (brake disk considerably hotter than the quiet side)
