Roughly how high is the bar above the line of the strut tops? Just to work out whether it'll clear on an HDi, particularly with possible future intercooler pipework in mind.

Duno for sure as I cant fit it due to height of the 2.1 engine.
I can try and fit this week with mani removed if you like?

Just lay it on a flat bit of ground so the ends that bolt down to the struts are on the ground and measure the distance between the bar and the ground - should give a close enough idea.

Looks like a very similar design to the omp one so should clear a hdi fine.

Nah, only the later ph3's (~X onwards) got the GTi MC, the older ones with 266s had a 22mm one. No idea how big the phase 1 was to compare though.

iirc it is a 22mm one on there actually. not sure on clearance think theres a few piks when i first made it in my project thread.
