injector refurbishment company

Looking to get my injectors refurbished on my vento need to find a company that will take them on and lift the brake pressure's I've rang a couple if local places and they both said they carnt take them on if there 2 stage ones what I belive mine are.


So any of you guys able to recommend a company that can do them at a reasonable price??

I'll have a look mate bet places be funny about lifting the brake pressure's to but want /need them doing to help atomises the veg oil better.

Diascos in ipswich qmare good we use them for everything diesel related at my garage. Basically if we want pumps or injectors built they are the guys to talk to

They are a Bosch service centre so they know their stuff, they also usually stock a range of injectors so will sell on an exchange and refurb basis.

Mr.Injector do injector refurbishment kits and refurbish injectors themselves as well I believe.
Their prices are reasonable and service has been excellent when I have used them.

Been in touch with diesel bob he wants £55 per injector +vat is that about right? Or is that expensive

Sounds expensive...so is probably right for a diesel specialist.

That's like £260 for the set of 4 though, surely not worth doing!?

That's about the going rate by the looks of it got quoted about the same price by www.cityelectrodiesel.com/ to refurb my lucas injectors still it's a steep price for an old car. Depends on you if you don't mind spending the money and what not.

Injectors are injectors lol!

Remember break pressure isn't the same as injection pressure - one's the pressure it breaks at, one's the pressure in the lines during injection - break can be changed but won't make much difference, the peak line pressure will be decided by the ramp of the camplate inside the pump and size of the nozzle orifices.

Ask Dieselbob what he's doing for that £55 per injector, if it's just a case of he's resetting the break pressure and running some cleaning fluid through them, I'd say it's not worth it... Injectors are precise bits of kit, get them wrong and it's run like a sack of shite. Especially DI motors.

I know this doesn't apply to your engine, but I got an injector rebuild kit from Mr.Injector for a gti6 and it was something like 14.95. Granted, that doesn't include ultrasonic cleaning etc. and you have to do it yourself but still.

This is why I want the brake pressure's lifting I suspect there well down any way tbh but again with out the correct testing I wouldnt no.

Diesel bob has got back to me, said the £55 +vat is for new nozzles and brake pressure's lifted that's it

Thing with Diesel injectors is it's not so much that they get dirty, the needles wear down and they drop their break pressure over time and eventually the needle will gum up and not seal correctly, so the injector dribbles as soon as you start getting camplate lift, which causes them to smoke continuously.

You need to have the correct shim kits etc to be able to set the correct pressure... And generally once the needle has worn that much, you might as well buy new nozzles for them - you're fighting a losing battle.

"Refurbished" means nothing unless they've had new actual nozzles, they're the expensive bit - but you need a proper injector tester, not just a pop tester to set the pre-injection and main injection pressures.
