Looking for a 206 5 door diesel for the mrs.
Not red, not the 1400hdi. Not buggered. Needs some MOT/TAX to drive it away!
Would prefer the 1.9nad, but consider the Hdi.
Let me know if you spot anything or know of anything around
Budget is up to £700max.

Sam Barker has a 2.0HDi I believe
and I have a 1.4HDi and apart from a little sluggish its been a good runner for me 176k miles and just about to have a new style turbo and intercooler fitted.

Cant stand the 1.4s. And too early in RnD in the 206 too for my liking.

I had a 1.4 TDCi (same engine) in a Fiesta, and did nearly 100,000 trouble free miles. They are not, "crap". Underpowered, yes, with a remap, much better. Not "crap".

So crap. So much crap.
So much wears out on them so soon. Too complex for their own good too.
Im sure they are better with a remap but I just cant stand them. Too many nightmare hours in the workshop fixing them

You don't back your point up very well piggy. From my experience with them the most 'crap' bit about them is the injector seals

The 1.4 HDi in 206's are possibly the best lump Peugeot ever made.
Don't listen to Piggy.

1.4 is the dv4 lump. Good little lump. Injector seals go and wiring harness along the injectors is a common one ive seen. Both cheap easy diy repairs with a bit.of time. Good luck finding one
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger

Lol. I gave up arguing my point because of the childish replies "just crap".
I think they are great little engines, just a bit "flat" from the factory.
Mine with an Intercooler, exhaust, intake and mapping went like a scalded cat.

I did. It made 115hp at 1.3bar boost with an intercooler. I think if I'd known then, what I know now it could probably have made a bit more too.

we had no end of 1.4s, from them fitted to the 206/C3/Fiesta. We even got sent a couple C3s direct from dealer because they had given up.
A friend had one in a fiesta from new...after 6months of constant issues, he asked for another new one, which he got...3months later he traded it in for a different engine/car.
Maybe I have just seen all the crap ones. I do hope they have got better...seems like a decent way to go for cheap motoring.
Anyway...found a 206 now! Just put a deposit on it
