306 cab hood system + bumper replacement

Hi folks,

I recently bought a 1996 306 convertible (phase 1 i believe), and I have some issues with it. The differential is blown, but I've got a new gearbox which is going in on wednesday. However, the roof electronics/hydraulics doesn't work.. Should I try to debug it and figure out what's wrong, or does a phase 2 system work?

The reason I'm asking is that some guy here in Norway is selling loads of stuff for a phase 2, and I was wondering if I should just buy the lot. There are rear lamps, rear bumper, doors, front bumper, headlamps etc. Will these fit on the phase 1, or should I keep looking?

Sorry to bump, but is there anyone who can tell me whether the mechanism for opening the hood cover is the same on phase 1 and phase 2? I don't want to waste a 500km trip..
