Seen a cossie merc near me for sale..lots of 0's after the figure but it is mint !!
Similar to this one but it's a real evo II http://bit.ly/178V1iV the smokey old bus that sounds like a tractor...

They really are outstanding to drive, mine really doesn't have the power to exploit the chassis but with 185bhp, a ZF dogleg box and uprated suspension they honestly are brilliant. Maybe not quite as sharp as an M3 or Sierra Cosworth but way more refined and smooth, and a shitload cheaper than either.

I saw a saphire cossie the other day, first one I've seen for years..never see them anymore
Never driven a 190, are they fun the smokey old bus that sounds like a tractor...

That's because all old Fords die of rust
190 Cosworths are great fun, mine is more relaxing than fun. With enough power you realise how good a chassis these have, every bit as good as an E30 with the exception of the steering, which is too slow and light.

Did Jonny bring his booster seat or did you lend him your Yellow Pages?

Merc looks badass mate.
Still think it would look good with some arch extensions, poke and purple shag-pile roof lining Member of the 99% warning or you're nothing club 2000 Moonstone 1.8 Meridian - Sold 2000 China 3dr XS - Dead 1998 Diablo 3dr XSI

That's what I'm thinking. I'd need an auto pedal box and shifter from a 190 but there are plenty of breakers, and there are more autos than manuals around.
I should have bought an auto in retrospect.

Will do pal. If I could sort out somewhere to keep it would you be able to have a look for some beer tokens? Literally just to check the engine and box?

I thought I'd already commented on this, but I f*cking love this thing, old mercs keep popping up when I'm looking at potential next cars/second cars/project cars. So badass!
