I reckon this is a Troll. In actual fact this was signed over to you briefly, as your 'car number 13' and you are no longer in ownership of it.

Wish i had of said that when i spoke to you this morning Tbh, i don't care. Even if he owns it, it will end up reversed into something, End up half way through an 2.2 conversion because more displacement is a direct link to more power or scrapped.

There is no way I can afford to run the rallye daily so it's gonna be a second car, hoping I can get insurance for somewhere near what JP is paying for his GTi6. She most likely won't see the road at least until I can tax her monthly or maybe till April next year when my points come off my licence. pm me if you want to know how I did insure mine, but you cannot beat the best of both worlds! also having a back up makes all the difference too!

It wont be getting a 2.2 conversion however displacement does have a direct correlation to power on an NA engine. I wont be crashing it (as Iwont be driving it for a while) and there is no way I could scrap a rallye.

Niall I ant posting pics of a log book but I will keep posting pics of the car (project thread coming) actually I could screenshot my ebay purchase list which includes GTi6 brakes and other stuff that wont be going on my estate.
Just been out tidying out the car and found £4.76 between the glove box and seat rails. Photos in 2 mins

So what are the plans in the long run then? Just tidy it up and keep it clean?

Please don't do anything stupid to it like put any form of diesel engine in it!

Niall it wont be getting a diesel. The plan is largely one of restoration. I'm hoping the car will be an investment and in a few years time worth enough to buy me a kit car, they are already going up in value.
Just sorting a less f*cked bonnet and drivers door of someone with a black 6. Got a ton of suspension and brake parts ordered off ebay so hopefully soon she'll be alot closer to MOT worthyness. EDIT: Does anyone have contact details for daveyboy on the GTi6 forum as I need one of his engine mount repair thingamys to weld in

Chris you are not going to like this... (Disclaimer-I've not read the full thread)
Keep this as you special car a) it's thirsty with a lead boot and b) keep the miles off it Restore this classic back to completely standard, wheels refurbed std colour etc. treat it as puglove does his 6, your car is an investment and will go up in value as it will be as it rolled off the factory . Collectors go crazy for this shit... Keep the estate and go mental tuning it, get your idle hands on the state and not the rallye Rant over... #runningscared the smokey old bus that sounds like a tractor...

Daveyboy isn't doing work at the moment, he is too busy elsewhere.

As Grant says, i spoke to him the other day and he's busy with his main line of work. Also, he doesn't sell the kit on its own. He welds it in for you as he shapes the metal to the individual car.

She is largely gonna get restored to original bar a couple of choice mods like some cams and braided brake lines. Would one of you ask if he has any of the plates kicking about please

Can't you just do it yourself Chris. You, out of anyone here, should be handy with a hammer.

I am and an offcut of 3mm steel is easy to get hold of but I'd just rather have a good quality pre made one for the sake of ease

You cant put a diesel in a black rallye, it would just be a crime
