Rear pads destroyed in 8 months
#1
So I changed the pads all round and the rear discs about 8 months and 8k on my hdi estate, and the rear pads barely have anything left on them.

The worst is the osr, of which there's very little pad left, particularly on the outer (nearest wheel) one.

I did find a receipt for an exchange nsr caliper, so that could explain that.

Presumably this is due to either the piston or sliders sticking, but the wheels don't get too hot and the car brakes well and the handbrake is feels fine?

Can anyone offer any advice as to what to look for?

Cheers

more than likely the sliders, pop them out and have a look imo, clean them off, check for any rust spots / blemishes on them too, if so smooth them off with a bit of emery, regrease and refit
