Another Clarion pu2294a(c) thread

Hi all,

So after my girlfriends car getting broken into and her sub and amp getting stolen I am going to mount some small subs in the rear quarters, install a hidden amp to power them and swap the Alpine headunit for the standard CD player.

Now, my question is this on the C ISO plug is there an pre amp output? The ISO standard says there should be, if there is I'm thinking of using that for the amp if not I will have to use the high level input on the amp.

Does anyone know of a wiring diagram for the pins on the back of the headunit, I've been looking on google but couldn't find much.

Yep, that's what I've found. I will have to do some measuring with an oscilloscope.

Haha, 5v pre out! I wish, that would be awesome if that was right.

Any idea what size connectors you need to go on to the pins there?

Wow, you can get a plug and cable already made up! £9 though, I'll find out if there is any output first before going any further.

Bugger, not what I was hoping. It looks like there is no pre-out on these headunits. There is 5v on pins 1 and 2, there is also 10v on pin 4 but no signals on any of the pins.

Looks like I'll be using the high level input on the amp.
