GTI beam on estate....a bit low?

Probably not for most of you but for me it is as I need to lug stuff around and take it off road.

Anyone else tried this and remember if it looked a bit low? Trying to work out if the beam has been lowered or if that's normal for a GTI beam on an estate with the extra weight.

GTI beam torsion bars are 1mm narrower, ARB is thicker (won't make any difference to height obviously)

Beam I had on was the wrong one (previous owner fitted a refurb one) and it had 19mm TBs

GTI beam is also set a bit lower so wondering if it is this combined with 20mm TBs that are causing it to be a bit low (but older estates were not 21mm, just later ones).

Wondering if I should just get it raised up as tracking down estate beams in good condition is impossible!

Most estates seem to sit lower than their hatchback/ sedan relatives.

Will get some when I find my camera. Our HDI hatch sits perfect, rear slightly higher and plenty of clearance. The estate now sits with just a slight gap between the top of the wheel and the arch.

i would expect it to sit lower.

The gti beam will sit 20mm lower.
The gti was 20mm lower as standard.
When I fitted a 40mm lowered gti beam to my estate it dropped 60mm.

Do the estates have thicker ARB's and thicker torsion bars to cope with the likely heavier load?

Is there any noticeable difference in handling/ ride of putting estate TBs into a hatch?
Have the sedans got thicker TBs?
