DIY remap

Right. So following Pro steves advice I got a Gellato 1260. Done it all right. Plugged everything in but I get the red border around the outside of the screen when on the software. Which steve says is a faulty cable. Unfortunately I ordered the Gellato off of a complete fucktard. So its taking forever to replace or get my money back. Can you guys recommend another way of DIY remapping?

I get an error saying turn off 10s then turn on dash 10s so I do it and get no where. Ill try again tonight with Win7

You only need to disable the dash on vag crap, unless you have the wrong ECU selected I can't see why it keeps saying that

Yeah that's normal towards the end of the write.....

Have you driven it since? It might've loaded the map and you not realised..... I did that first time (albeit on a Golf).

Hasn't written it at all. This is just for the read ecu data. Nothing on remapping it

Id just get a KWP. Ive had no end of issues with galettos...KWP works perfect everytime.

Odd, i've had it the other way around - kwp was crap, but galetto has been great.

What does the error say, word for word?
