making a trip for a meeting to brizzal this eve.
halfway, while making sufficient ground in lane 3 I heard some serious flapping then bang then battery light came off.
whipped off at next junc. aux belt gone!
so just blasted down to brizzal...disconnected me battery and went to meeting. 1hr later, come out, get a bump start...off I go.
Im not broke down in maccyDs in gloucester!!
still running fine other than lights are too dull to drive anymore.
awaiting mrs with the nad rescue van!

Had this before and ended up tapeing pushbike lights on the bonnet and bumper.
still not Shure how we made it back and didn't crash/ get arrested. 90miles mostly country back lanes with no street lights, took ages lol. Oh and had 2spair lights and stuck them out the window for indicators lmao
when in doubt...... flat out.

My hdi broke at McDonald's on way to Fcs 2010 neg cable came off gearbox. Started it by holding cable onto box and made it pretty much to campsite until it cut out. When I braked fuel gauge went up and speedo was stuck at 40 regardless of speed. Revs stuck about 2k or something.
Had other stupid breakdowns once I did a rather aggressive overtake of a lorry only for the fuel line to POP off the pump and the lorry to be stuck behind me at the lights. Got abit of a moan from him and an hour trying to start the dam thing with no tools

poor connections really I suppose.
but odd for them to pop off (on oil cooler) at 1.8bar and light acceleration.
car off road for a week to properly sort the two issues out. then the engine should be issue free...bar EGT gauge
PS anyone wana buy a 306 GT 2.1???

I know dude, i mean the epic spray of oil everywhere.
Trust me i know what it's like to blow shit up and be ready to give up. My alternator packing in this week is another kick in the balls i don't really need but you've just got to chin up and get on with it...

ah man, I havnt checked.....I'm sorry.
I had work today, have just got in, soaked to the bone. In my PJs at the mo as its only thing I got clean and dry!!
I am sure I will look back at it with some sort of fond memories. But lots of bruising to my pride right now. And I'm ill.
