I've repeatedly yanked and yanked as hard as I can. I've twisted it and tried pulling it at the same time yet no matter how hard I try, it just won't come 
Of course I'm talking about my handbrake. I can't work out how the rubber handle comes off. Any ideas?

Was just wondering because when ever I take the centre console out, I've gotta try and force it over so it's all ripped up and snagged.

Seriously, I have a gear one on mine just tucked into the slot around the lever, just remove the plastic frame round the bottom first (obviously)
