spraying wing mirors
#1
iv got a blue 1.4 3 door phase 2 that has black wing mirrors. i would like to have blue mirrors does anyone know if the black basic wing mirrors are covers i can take off or are all fixed as one unit. i dont want to try and force the covers off and find iv snapped off fixed covers. also can these be painted okay as they dont feel smooth?
thanks in advance.

its a massive PITa painting wing mirrors on a 306 due to the nasty cheap plastic peugeot decided to use, it is possible though and color coded mirrors do look good. it will take alot of prep to get them looking right, ideally all the surfaces need to be flat but rough enough for the paint to stick to so preparation is the key.

You can fully disassemble the mirrors to each individual component but as Ozone said, it's a major PITA painting them

If youre determined to paint It would be easier to find a set of colour coded mirrors in any colour - the colour sections clip off and can be rubbed down and sprayed to match (lot easier to paint than the plain black plastic mirrors)
