Airbag light issues
#1
Ok, i'm aware of the usual issues relating to the flashy flashy, but mine is with the lights misbehaving on my brothers '01 Meridian.

Have function tested and swapped the bulbs around but there is an issue with the operation of the side airbag light. It does not come on at any point during ignition on. The airbag light itself is working, but comes on solid, not flashing - any ideas what this means? I'm used to them flashing. I don't have my PP tool with me, stupidly I left it at home 180 mile away. Doh

I took the seats out, cleaned everything, clipped them all back into place, fixed a dodgy seat runner and have also cable tied the troublesome yellow plugs together. I wanted to solder them together but my dad was not too keen at this point (brothers car). Put them back in the car, and the situation is exactly the same as before. Had the centre console out and unplugged/reseated the airbag ecu plug but no change. Only other thing I can think of is a dodgy steering connector.

Has this now become an MOT item or is the jury still out? I was aware they tried to bring it in at the start of the year but postponed it.

In short, no. It passed its mot in January so i'm waiting for warmer climates.

PP gave me some very strange fault codes though. I'm going to chop the connectors off these stupid plugs underneath the seats and either solder them or put bullets on there. Those plugs are useless.

I haven't resolved it. I only get to me parents once every couple of months. I'm going to chop the plugs off under his seat firstly and solder the damned things.

Peugeot planet gave two fault codes, but they're not exactly clear what the issues are.
