Answered your own question there, didn't you? :-P Officially summer starts 21st June, in Scotland May's been the best month by far in recent years but no idea about Cornwall... Might wanna think about when the schools are off as well, tho, as ppl usually hike the prices up during the holidays...

Statistics say February has been the dryest month for the past 3 years so they were on about swapping the seasons around so they reflect current statistics

I don't understand the complex details but I know that if the earth moves on its axis, this can change when we have our warm weather or cold weather. I think there planning on doing it this year for the Olympics.

Don't come to Cornwall, I like my beach when it's quiet.
And on that subject I would never come in the summer, it's horrific, can't see the bloody sand for emmets. Last few years April has been best IIRC. Diablo Meridian HDi - 125bhp - 73.0MPG - Halfords Wheels

It might be warm Cornwall in December, it's where they trialled the temperature changes last year and they were pretty successful so I think December might be made summer down there this year!

I usually go in June and September, and I've already booked June this year. June is dry, sunny but tends to be a bit windy, first week of September is cheap an almost always hot and dry for me. Went in august last year and it was pretty wet...
