Here are two photos of the driver's side and passenger's side rear light wiring harnesses:
I have a 2001 (Phase 3) HDi.
I have a couple of questions about attaching a 7-pin lightboard socket to this circuit. I am using a Maypole MP843 kit, which uses scothloks to connect its cables to the vehicle's existing wiring harness.
1. Is it correct to assume that the kit should be hooked-up to the driver's side light cables? Am I also right in thinking that the passenger's side lights are fed from the driver's side harness (with the insulated cable running out of the bottom right-hand corner of the top photo above)?
2, Which cables are which?
I ask, because the rear lighting diagram posted here completely confuses me and I see no correlation between the actual cable which I have photographed and the diagram itself.
I need to be able to identify the following:
