Possibly buying a new car.
#1
My dads mate bought a 306 1.4 for £50. He now can get rid of it so I've offered him £100. Think make £50 scrapping it.
Saw it today and it looked shit as was sat under trees for 3 years. Other side was immaculate. Wiped dirt of other side and was also mint! Inside and put is very dirty but otherwise mint! It's a 1.4 r reg that's only done 40k miles with fsh. It's got no t&t.
Front suspension has collapsed but I have suspension from the hdi. I know they're different weights but will do! So I'm thinking of maybe keeping it my self depending on how it goes through mot.
Or possibly keep running it and rebuild the engine in my dturbo and convert it. The body work really is brilliant in Diablo. Just little marks on rear door where it's caught a wall but when closed cannot see.
What you guys think worth the hassle or not?
Mot on dturbo is due feb and need rear bearing so I change beam from springs and possibly more. Body work is tatty and engine will need cam belt as well as a boost leak!

Not worth the hassle for an R reg 1.4, I had one and hated it lol.

Also, being an R reg, check for a hole in the rear arch......

Prove it bitch! Haha
You seem to have a seemingly unproven thing for saying the r reg 306 is a rusty one lol

My s reg has rusty rear arches. And some in the engine bay. And some surface rust near the spare wheel.

It was from Scotland though.

Tbf, it depends where the car has been, if its lived in the city all its life with no mud and shit and salt getting stuck up in the rear arch it should be ok........but out in the country they're pretty much all crap now lol.

It has been sat for a few years so will be worth a check. But I think if I can get it £100 or less. Then should be a good buy.
Any idea what a vgc 1.4 could fetch?
I'm thinking about £500 low miler
