I'm in Austria at the moment, and I need to order some flexi intake piping so that it arrives by the time I'm home. I need it to be the correct internal diamteter to fit onto the inlet of a garret t2. I'm guessing its around 2inches but I'd quite like an accurate measurement.
Could someone please measure the inlet diameter for me? Rep will be given!

Got a k14 and gt15 in the garage. Typical. Il measure them both in the morning though because they might all be the same...

Thanks for getting the measurement I would have thought t2 would be very similar. Accidently repped you twice hope you don't mind!

I used 2" pipe on mine. Wasn't snug snug but fit with no issues with a clamp.

I used 51mm ID with no issues. Also used it for the outlet.

Just ordered some 51mm 2 ply neoprene/silicon stuff with the reinforcing wire in it. Should do the job. Will be tricky joining the filter on though, might have to be taped to start with!

How so? Do you not have a coupler you could use?

Ideally you want the inlet to open up to 3 or 4" by the time it reaches the filter..

I think I have a couple of 90 degree elbows and some pipe from my old filter setup mate, took it from 2" at the blower to 3" at the filter.
Let me know if they're any use to you, my car's always been defiltered so didn't actually get any time on the road. Nearly new cone filter too.

Any pics of it in the bay? Could well be interested as it'll save buying it new.

Looks good, my filter is going to be behind the other headlight, but some of those bits could still be useful. What are the individual bends and pipes you have, and how much would you want for them? I think my filter will be the same size, was it a 14 quid eBay jobby?

Yeah was £15-£20 or so, can't remember. Got some pics on the camera I'll upload when home. I've got two 50cm lengths of 63mm pipe, a 63mm elbow and the filter, never ran on the car.
Would say £25 posted for the lot if you want it all, or £15 posted for the pipes and elbow

Ok, what did you use to connect that 2.5inch pipe to the 2.0inch turbo inlet?

I used a silicone elbow, you can get reducer ones that step down in size, so 63mm ID at one end and 50mm at the other end

If I can find it you can have it. Not quite sure where it went to though! I didn't use it for the FMIC though I don't think, so it should be about somewhere
