Caliper sliders

Caliper sliders

One of my front caliper sliders have seized, do I just need to buy these (link below) or is there something else I need aswell?

Seized how? Run dry or is it bent? Only ever replaced 1, that I accidentally bent.

If you take it out and clean it up properly you shouldn't need to replace it. I had to use mole grips to get my neighbours sliders out on his Focus as they were solid with rust. Spent half an hour cleaning them up with the dremel, applied the proper grease and job's a good'un.

Yeah think they are dry and rusty, will try and get them out and clean them up, those slider bolts are quite a lot of money really..

Once you have it out, if there's lots of dry flaky rust you might need to get a screwdriver in there and drag it out, or apply a little grease to the end and dab it in there to collect the rust.

My neighbours were absolutely terrible, but worked fine after i'd spend a couple of hours sorting them.

Sorry to jack the thread but where the best place to get new boots for them as mine have ripped? Is it just straight to dealer?
