My commute is awful!!
Takes me longer to get the car out the parking area and drive to work than it does for me to walk to work

Lol people that come down here for parts or stuff always say how nice my road is lol....bit different when you have to drive every bloody day though, when 'popping' to the shop is an hour round trip lol.

Damn I love Cumbria...

I used to be an assistant manager in a couple of pubs, and I used to do holiday cover at other pubs in the chain. For 2 months I'd drive from Leeds, up through Skipton and then through the dales up to Kirby Stephen over the buttertubs pass, then drive back 3 days later for a couple of days off. Best commute ever Big Grin

Yeah, your right dude. Sometimes when I'm driving through the dales on quiet, twisting country lanes, through mountain passes and across wild moorland, stopping at country pubs with nothing but the smell of coal fires and fresh air, I can't help but think "I wish I was sat on the northern circular in rush hour sniffing black cab exhausts while cyclists smash lumps out of my wing mirrors"...

Mine consists of nearly 20 miles of stop-start traffic and a short motorway sprint, before more of the same. Really, really sucks - especially now the kids are back at school!
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

That must be it. It's just the thought of that many people living in one place makes me shudder. I mean I live 5 miles from work which is right in the city centre, and even in rush hour it takes me 20 minutes...

Mine mostly consists of sitting on the M62 for a long time, hoping to get out of 2nd gear sometime soon. Off to Penzance next week though..nothing like a 7 hour drive to start the working day lol

Now that's a nice commute, the A30 through Bodmin Moor is beautiful! Then again, even the M62 has some pretty views, coming back over Saddleworth Moor after picking up the diablo from Oldham there was mist rolling across the moors in banks, looked awesome!
