![]() After a bit of inspecting it turns out the seal on the tyre is damaged and it's been leaking air ever so slowly. Had a pull to the left that's been getting worse so was going to check the car over today, drove round a corner and the tyre just kind of.. fell off the wheel.

One of the cons or having a stretch i think. Looks awesome but the rim would last long as im attracted to kerbs

pulling left was caused by low pressure
guess a right turn saw the wheel pop the tyre off as no air pressure to keep the bead in place......

Correct. And will, nothing to do with stretched tyres although I wondered how long it would take for someone to comment. Would have happened to any tyre on any rim if there's no air in it.

Right but Tom, if the tyres were fitted 3 weeks ago and the tyre leaked air at the rate we noticed it today after reseating it, it's understandable that the tyre would fall off.
10psi is different to 0psi.

being stretched would cause it to come off easier/earlier than a standard tyre; bead designed to sit against inner face of roadwheel, if its stretched then its never been sat squarely as the side walls have been cambered inwards away from the beads, your tyre siply found an easy excuse to pop off.

Right but if there's sod all air in it and it goes round a corner it's going to pull the tyre off the bead, regardless of stretch. I'll have you know that Falken state that the stretch is, in their eyes, acceptable.
Tyres aren't designed with a lack of air pressure in mind!

10PSi loss a week isn't that bad, my rear one loses that atm....but surely you noticed it was flat lol, I just keep pumping mine up atm....

This is one of the reasons I carry a cig-lighter powered tyre pump thingy and check the pressures every week or so as I was told that less than 20psi could cause the tyre to pop off the rim with a stretch (probably an exageration,but I play it safe lol)

Yeah think that might be a good investment man, play it safe anyway. It's my own fault for not checking but tbh the last set of wheels I hardly checked either.

Yeah I had wee man in the car too, thankfully was just round the corner from the in-laws' house so parked it up, removed the wheel and left it with Xav to fit a new tyre.

Hmm found out the tyre was damaged when moving from the old wheels to the new. Guess that puts and end to the stretch debate!
