Well me and scott were at the breakers on saturday and saw this. Yep two rows of VWs...mostly golfs. Best bit was there was much more in there other yard.

didnt think there was many PDs in the scrap yard?
Your move!

Its great. Its absolutely huge. Most cars in the main yard seem to be bog spec but you can rip them to pieces for anything you need. they also have another yard which they walk around and check what you want before your allowed it. Much much newer nicer cars in there though

There was more french there but most of them were crash damage. Look down that line of golfs and not many are crash damaged!

GFs dad has a '12 plate caddy, it's actually an amazing place to be, unlike his old transit!

I digress.

Point being, there aren't many mkiv's in scrapyards because people know there are mugs out there who would pay loads of money for the simplest of parts :p

I'll be honest, I'm surprised how much money there is in breaking a good spec mk4 tbh (hence only having the shit ones in scrappys!)...I mean I've passed a grand today in my breaking fund and the interior is mostly being stored until I can be arsed to make more ebay ads, there are still most of the body panels left and I have a couple more big bits like the gearbox to go! Confused Not looking so difficult to hit my £1500 target now tbh! Big Grin

We don't have any around here you can look around.

You have to phone up ask for a part, if they have it they tell you when it will be off the car ready for collection

Love going to furbers at child's ercall and Prees Heath when im back at the folks though I'm hoping the cars I have now wont need many parts

Yeah tight I own a 406 coupe and an Alfa Romeo!!!

Im lucky that its only just down the road for me. TBH im supprised it is still open. The yard in that photo is ok but one of the other yards, there all piled up close to each other. been in some of the top ones with it wobbling all over the place!

Next year's FCS, if it's the same place, a few of us are going to raid the scrappy there. Really cheap and well sorted! And full of XUD's!
