its come to my attention that some of the bosch pumps on the 406 are electronically controlled and cant be used on the Dturbos? i just wanted to know if this was true or not as i rang my scrappers and they have one in with lines and injectors for 50 quid but of course could be useles to me? could anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Yes, thats right, most 406s seem to have the electronically controlled bosch in our local scrappys so your is probably the same!

how can you tell? is there like some plugs/switches ect on them somewhere?

will have a throttle pot on top, will also have an electronic solenoid underneath the pump to control the timing piston.

The 406 pump will work on a 306 it just wont work to its full potential as the 306 cant control the the advance system on the 406 pump.
No good for tuning basically.

mmn i have a 406 and pump looks basically the same as a 306 bosch except armour plate on the thing ....
some kind of throttle position sensor ...
but thinking of remoing it and putting one offa 306 on it
be realy interested to know of any 0-60 times on a 406 after tune up
