some, if not most, weld the wastegate shut on the td04...thus achieveing often close to 30psi...but theres not much gain above 25psi from what I have seen of RR charts...
170bhp should be easily attainable I would think...but unless you have HDi rods, you may be dramatically reducing the engine life pushing harder than that

I dont think its case of ' if ' more like when it throws a rod. Especially if you weld the wg. Keep a wastegate and dont push it to hard should be ok with hdi rods

Yeah I would prefer MBC
high psi normally means big bang from turbo, XUDs can throw rods at low boost from standard setups....but no point being on the limit of going bang all the time!

Padge used to run something like 40psi, he said it was great. Mines peaks at 28psi on the top mount and it goes well lol

If your running a front mount i would imagine up near 30 would be pretty tasteful. Mines pretty hellish when you really get tanking along!

No mate costs to much lol, 50quid for a couple runs down here, like f*ck rather just put 50 quid of fuel in and have a week of hooning!

You should see good power from the 11mm. I went to a dyno yesterday and saw a car just like mine, XUD K04 turbo FMIC 11mm and that made 190bhp

Welding the wastegate totally depends on the hotside of the turbo. If you have a small hotside, keep the wastegate! Stick to about 25psi, and it'll be fine, dont run too much advance either!
