Well lookin to get springs and shocks for the dt an no sure what ta get.

Was lookin at saxo 45mm sportline eibach ones for the 1.5 diesel saxo phase 1.

These be a good bet?

Sick of coilovers, they bottom out like no 2moro

And had 40mm 306 springs before an didn lower enuf.

Whatever you do, dont buy Saxo springs.....

You drive a 306....not a saxo.

If 40 mm springs didnt lower enough buy 60mm sprigs and shocks. Dont be a pikey and put saxo ones on
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger
Thanks for the good times guys n gals. I might be back. Who knows.

As said, pretty dangerous. Wrong spring rates, designed for a much lighter car, just as bad as cutting springs.

Nothing wrong with coilovers, other than cheap wanky ones with soft springs being run too low.

Not from n.i. From the republic.

With saxo springs im guessin they are softer?
So the ride not be better with uprated saxo springs compared to uprated 306 ones. And less bouncy because theyre less stiff.

Ta technix came with the car. They bottom out an theyre not even that low.

Dont really care about the handlin, im a good pilot can handle it Smile

And the N.I lads go 60 saxos and bumpstops on the bak so dont see how i compare to that.

Ive seen a few pics of 306 with 40mm springs and it looks good.

But my hdi had 40s and wasnt as low. Why would that be?

Any shocks have lower seats?

they were probably 35mm gti springs, which is the heaviest 306 engine

xsara spring pans wont be any lower, same size wheel under them.

So xsara vts bilstein b4 shocks with dturbo 40mm springs be the way to go so i suppose.

Cheers.

When you say the bodies are shorter, does that mean the car will sit a bit lower yeah? Like the seat is lower down the shock

Means that the shock can compress more before bottoming out. As said if 40mm isnt low enough get some 60mm springs.
