Wiring in slim line fans with override switch
#1
Has anyone got any pictures or in depth details of which wires need to go where in order to do this?

The car has no fans on at all atm but I have some slim lines I'd like to wire into the standard relay (currently off the car) along with a switch (basically provides a live to the high speed part) that I can mount inside should I want to turn them on myself.

I'm looking for details of which colour wires possibly with pictures and or diagrams etc.

Thanks.

Right, the 3 pin plug on the radiator is how this works...

IIRC from when I've done this before, the high/low speed is controlled by 2 being the common and it switching 1 for the low speed, then high speed is activated by it switching pin 3 - so basically, take that plug and all you should need to do is to put in your own switch which links the wires to pins 2 and 3 on that plug, use the stock relay and take the wires that go to the stock fans and wire in your slimlines Smile

That's totally from memory, so I'd strongly suggest testing this before doing it!
