Getting really f*cked off now! Fitted my hispecs the other day, went for a drive and one of them leaked. Retightened the nipple and drove it again. Not as bad this time. Today i noticed it had been weeping again after the last drive so i took the new nipple out and replaced it with one of the old ones. Went for a normal drive and perfect. No leaks. Got into my road and thought id see what happens if i slammed the brakes on. Pedal went slightly soft and has again leaked. Any ideas? im fearing the worst that the seat inside the calliper is damaged

No. That will not stop the leak from the bleed hole! Fearing i may have over tightened them and ruined the seat

I remember when DumDum had painted his calipers they were leaking for a bit at the time of fitting.

Good shout. Could be that ive got some paint or dirt sitting on the seat.
Yeah they are second hand and ive had them apart so no chance of getting money back. I have just found a possible solution if the seat is damaged so looks like ill be getting the grinding paste out tomorrow

Fixed
Ground the thread off a old bleed nipple, emptied the calliper then got some grinding paste and used the nipple to regrind the seat. I then replaced the nipple and it pissed out until i did some investigation and found a build issue on hispecs behalf. The bleed nipple they supply only just hits the seat before the nipple runs out of thread so you get any dirt in there that damages the seat or do what ive done and grind the seat, you have no chance of it sealing because you have run out of thread to tighten it up. Luckily, the standard pug gti calliper nipples are identical except the base of the nipple is about 2mm longer so plenty of thread left. Nipped it up and bang. No more leaking
Will be going to get 4 new pug nipples tomorrow to make sure none of them are seeping.
